If you just let them arbitrarily quote you whatever coverages/ limits/ deductibles they like, then yes, it's quite possible those quotes provide for more than what you really need. On the other hand, as the earlier poster stated, don't settle for NJ state required minimum coverages. The minimum required coverages of every state are inadequate should you be involved in a serious auto accident. The repercussions of only having the state minimums could lead you to financial ruin in such a case. Also, keep in mind your quotes are based on more than just your being a first-time driver. Many other factors come into play, not the least of which is the year, make and model of the car you'll be driving. |
