Rates are determined based on your location, type of car, common losses with your type of vehicle, and likelihood you with have a claim. Shop around because there maybe a national rating for all those factors but some may just rate based on that particular company's experiences with those factors. I agree, be careful of entering too much personal information. Most company's sites will just ask general questions and then provide an approximated cost. If it peaks your interest, then you may need start a detailed processing. Your rates can deviate if it is later determined that you have any tickets or citations in the past say 5 years. They may even research prior insurance companies you have had. Key......Shop around. |
