Can I alter a car insurance quote after just a few months having paid an annual premium?
I have a provisional license and I receive my first car in a few days. I want to get insured to drive it and I've entered that I only have a provisional license on the quote. I want to pay an annual premium to get the best deal, however I'm going to have a full UK license in just a few months time. I'm happy to stick with the same insurers for the next year, but can I alter a quote after a few months having paid an annual premium?

Well i havent as of yet bought a car, but I am definately going to by the end of the year. I have alot of different cars im considering and all different prices and insurance groups, which means its hard for me to determine the insurance price of a car because there is nothing to compare it with. SO what i am looking for is a site which will give me QUICK access to quotes for cars because I don't wanna spend hours telling them what i have for dinner when I just want to get a rough idea of the car's cost. I have been looking at some small cars, I tested a Ford Fiesta 1.8 diesel that I was looking at on auto trader and the cheapest quote I got was 4 grand, fair enough it was a 1.8 but a ford fiesta is hardly a boy racers car or something is it? Is there something i'm missing here, why are quotes so expensive and how am I supposed to afford car insurance is there something I can do to get a cheaper quote, is there any good cars for a lad that can get me a cheap quote or something? 4 grand is an outrageous price and I don't know what to do here.I'm in England
Why are my car insurance quotes so high for male 17 (UK)?
i have looked on a couple of comparison websites compare the market, go compare, confused and have found that the cheapest for provisional licence is 900 from collingwood, but then when i change to full licence the cheapest is 3000 from ecar.none of my friends have to pay this much for a full licence and some of them even hae better cars than me.i am trying to insure a clio campus 2002 1.2

I am 25, past my test about 12 month ago and just recently bought my first car and i need to get some insurance started as of tomorrow.I went to the Direct Line website for a quote.For just me to be insured it was 900.For me and my husband who has been driving for over a decade with no claims or convictions etc to both be insured on the same car it was 800.I'm a bit confused why it cost so much less for two people to be insured instead of just one.Does it sound right to you or is the 800 quote supposed to be per person?Thanks

I looked thru a lot of resolved answers on here from people asking how to get cheaper insurance. Almost always, several people will recommend websites that " supposedly" give ONLINE quotes from different companies, but many of these seem " shady" .But I took a leap of faith and tried one...It had me enter ALL of my info which is really a LOT of detail and at the end said that different insurance agents would be CALLING me Not a one quote was provided online.My full wish list is if someone can tell me of a site that 1. Actually provides online quotes 2. Gives quotes from only the most reputable insurance companies3. Provides several hopefully 5 ONLINE quotes.I'd really appreciate it if you know of such a thing and your answer is sure to help many others
I got a car insurance quote from State Farm that?
is double that of the quotes I got online from brokers . Is it better to go with State Farm or one of the cut rate insurance companies?I mean in the event of an accident and getting paid. I also rent a lot of cars and will be using the insurance I buy for those. And, not get the insurance that the rental companies over charge for.

I'm 17 in a few months, have a car, and have been checking insurance quotes.From my previous experience of quotes from Churchill, Quinn Direct, Directline etc. it doesn't cost much, if at all, to insure on my provisional license with hopes of changing the policy to insure me on a full license in the future.I have got a 1997, 3 door, 5 seater, diesel peugeot 106 with a 1.6 litre engine and the best insurance quote I have recieved so far was from Quinn, but they have recently stopped insuring in the UK so I won't be able to use it when I am 17...They gave me a quote of around 800 whereas everyone else are offering me 1,500.Does anyone know of any other companies who can give me cheaper comprehensive cover?Thanks for any answersIf you had read properly, you would have seen that I said it doesn't cost much extra to insure on a provisional license...If you can, please send me sites from the UK Thanks
Is Car Insurance quotes race-specific?
Where I live the 'minority races' and immigrants I asked how much car insurance they are paying because mine seemed steep were paying very little compared to me for the equivalent car even though theyre new drivers. I have a clean licence since 1987. Are they less likely to have accidents? I dont believe this some of them only their God is keeping them from having accident. Or is to charge them too much being racist so we have to pay more insurance for them?Or Nationality specific eg. If you have an exchanged South African licence you get a high quote because 'SA are bad drivers' but you have to be a good driver to not have had an accident there ?Or Nationality specific eg.
