Getting new car insurance quotes and don't know if it is my claim or not.?
I was in an accident about 4 years ago. I rear ended someone and wrote the van off, however my parents didn't use insurance to get a new car and the SUV I hit had no damage. I did report it and their insurance is aware of it. I also was not charged with anything although the police did show up because it was on a busy street. It was a 4 car pile up I happened to be at the back of. My question is that the accident was under my parents insurance and I am now looking for car insurance quotes and am unsure if this claim is considered mine or my parents.Any help would be appreciated

Why are my car insurance quotes so high?
I am 17 years old, male, my birthday is 7 11 94. I am looking to buy a car to learn to drive in then finally fully insure. I have not passed my test you but when asked on insurance website's I have put under the 'time held licence for as " 1 month" just to get a realistic view. I have tried a huge variety of cars but I just can't seem to get them to a reasonable price. For example I have been quoted 5999 on a seat alto 1.0 litre on gocompare. I have also tried adding my father as an additional driver who has 15 years of experience and no claims. I am currently a student and have stated that the car would be parked on the drive. I live in a semi detached house in a small town. Please can anyone help me on getting it down as low as possible. The only cars I would not consider are 1. citroen saxo, 2. ford ka, 3. any form of fiat.

I'm about to get my first car at 25, and thought I'd look at insurance quotes for a cheap little run around to get me started. I have only just passed my test so expected quotes to be quite high, but so far haven't seen anything below 4000 for a year I tried looking for a quote on a Renault 1996 Clio 1.2 Versailles. Thought that would be pretty cheap. From what I've heard, I should be looking around the 1k mark for a year. Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?

I get more and more frustrated talking about this topic..my insurance due for renewal so done a quick quote and the cheapest is 1000 more than i'm paying now how do they work that out i have had NO motor convictions nothing nothing these crash for claim ppl need to be caught good and proper....and these accident management companies need BANNING. it is not fair on the innocent ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH

I got into an accident about a year and a half ago under my mothers insurance with the car under her name although i was an added driver to the vehicle. I am not applying for my own insurance independently, should i list the accident under my own accidents during my quote?

Why is my car insurance quote £150 more if I say im unemployed.?
My new insurance quote is 476 if I declare im unemployed but after going back and changing the details to employed, the quote is 333. Why is it cheaper for working people? I tried to do an online quote but it said I have to be 18.I am 17 years old. I live in Maryland and I am in 11th grade. The car is Used 2005 Chrysler Sebring Touring fully paid for.
